Sperm Health Linked to Miscarriage
A recent study out of the Imperial College of London looks at the sperm parameters of 50 men who’s partners have had 3 or more miscarriages. What they found was quite interesting. All the men had higher levels of damage to their DNA. Specifically, they presented with elevated levels of reaction oxygen species (ROS). This posses an interesting inquiry, as we know that through lifestyle and supplementation we can reduce the levels of ROS. If we did so in those men who have elevated ROS how would this affect the outcome of their pregnancies?
This is another area to explore for those couples who are experience challenges to conception and one that holds possibility.
